Measuring help for your souvenir or rental gown

Need help measuring for your souvenir or rental gown?

Save yourself time and hassle by ordering the correct sizes. You will have correctly fitting garments if you provide ACCURATE measurements. Please don't "pad" them to make sure it is big enough.
The key measurements you need to for determining size are:

1) Chest at the fullest part (a man's suitcoat size)
2) Total height with the shoes on you would wear in the gown
3) Rental regalia only: Sleeve measurement (corresponds to a man's shirt sleeve size) This is the classic tailoring measurement which can be a little tricky if you are unfamiliar. Please see the diagram (left) as a reference. The arm must be bent and held at shoulder height in front of the chest. The measurement must be taken with a flexible tape. Start at the nobby bone in the back of the neck, go over the shoulder, around the back of the elbow to the wrist.
4) Head measurement- Our caps are One-size-fits-all, with elastic to adjust. If sizing is still needed, measure 1" above the ears or provide a cap size if you know it.
5) Weight, if "plus" sizes are being considered

Now that you have the measurements, choose the correct size from the appropriate size chart below. Please note carefully the various combinations of height and weight that must be exceeded to warrant a plus size. Rental gowns do not have plus sizing, but we suggest you order 1 size larger for anyone well in that category. A sizing assessment fee of $5.00 per person will be added if your order does not conform to our size chart.

Sizing for KINDERGRAD GOWNS. Children taller than 52" will need to be fitted in adult sizing. Kindergrad caps are all one size.

GOWNS- adult sizing for SOUVENIR & RENTAL Gowns. Note that the numbering is different- rental sizes (the second number after the slash (/) are numbered from 0-5, souvenir is numbered from 40 up to +3. For instance, a souvenir robe size 43 is the same as a rental size 0.

Souvenir/Rental Size Height Range:

40 .................... up to 4’ 10"

43/ 0 ................ over 4' 10" to 5’ 2"

46/ 1 ................ over 5’ 2" to 5’ 5"

49/ 2 ................ over 5’ 5" to 5’ 8"

52/ 3 ................ over 5’ 8" to 5’ 11"

55/ 4 ................ over 5’ 11" to 6’ 2"

58/ 5 ................ over 6’ 2" to 6’ 5"

Please read carefully the height and weight range appropriate for each PLUS size. Both weight and height ranges must match for the size to be correct. The following PLUS sizes apply to SOUVENIR- not available for rental gowns: (we suggest ordering 1 size larger than height indicates for plus-sized rental gown customers)

+1 (Short PLUS) .................... 4'9"-5'2" 160lbs+/5'3"-5'5" 190+

+2 (Medium height PLUS) .... 5'6"-5'8" 220lbs+/ 5'9"-5'11" 250+
